Advocacy

The child protection programme advocates on behalf of the youth work sector through:

  • Consultation with the youth work sector on child protection issues
  • The development of key advocacy positions that may impact on the effective running of youth organizations
  • Membership of the child protection sub committee of NYWAC
  • Making submissions to relevant parties on related topics such as the NYCI Submission on the Constitutional Amendment on Children Jan 2008
